Fertilizing: Your lawn properly is very important for its overall health. Your lawn needs are pretty simple (water, food, oxygen).
- When overseeding. We use starter fertilizer.
- If you have weed problems, and unwanted grasses, time to fertilize.
- If you’re overseeding, time to fertilizer.
Tip - For best absorption, you should Aerate your lawn regularly (2 times a year, spring & fall). This relieves compacted soil and allows water, fertilizers, limestone, and oxygen to reach the grass roots with ease. Annual aeration also reduces thatch buildup.
Limestone: help control the PH balance in your lawn. Every lawn needs limestone applied. The water and soil in the northwest is very acidic. Limestone will help and should be applied 2 times a year. Its usually best to do in conjunction with Aeration.
